The Kings of Soul & Swing

Stars of Hamilton: The Musical and The Glenn Miller Orchestra

Two Guys.

+

Two incredible voices.

=

too much fun.

Julius is a Broadway veteran and Mark, a seasoned Big Band frontman. They channel the great voices, old and new. Frank Sinatra. Stevie Wonder. Jason Mraz. John Legend, and more.

These Crooners sing with their charisma. Their shows are packed with explosive energy, and an unmatched ability to connect with audiences.

At Last, Swing and Soul mix together in this unique meeting of the minds.

On top of incredible vocals, what makes this duo so fun, is the ease and chemistry between these long-time friends. With 30+ combined years of performing under their belts, the stories they share come from a heartfelt and career-long love for this music. Like that one time Mark was hired for a super secret gig that turned out to be Sir Rod Stewart’s birthday party. Or the year Julius spent working closely with Motown Records Founder, Berry Gordy. You’ll be on the edge of your seat wondering what happens next.

Don’t forget your dancin’ shoes because you’ll barely catch your breath between each show stopping song like: “Don’t You Worry Bout’ A Thing,” a “For Once In My Life” mashup, or getting your “Carlton” on with Tom Jones’ “It’s Not Unusual.”

These guys will have you “Feelin’ Good” and swingin’ like “It Don’t Mean a Thing.” This is a night, that can’t be missed.

Julius Thomas III

A voice so smooth your body aches…powered by the heart of a true gentleman.

Julius Thomas III is an NAACP Theatre Award nominated actor from Gary, Indiana. He currently stars as Alexander Hamilton in the mega hit, Hamilton: An American Musical.

He is a Broadway Theatre veteran, having appeared in the original companies of The Scottsboro Boys, Porgy & Bess, and as the lead in the smash hit, Motown The Musical.

You've seen Julius on your television as well. He's appeared on Modern Family, Odd Mom Out, GMA, A Capitol Fourth Celebration, The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Tony Awards and more.

He is a featured vocalist on many recordings, but is most proud of his song of Inspiration 'I Am Here' (available on iTunes, with proceeds benefiting Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids).

Mark R. Kopitzke

If a young Sinatra also took a stint in a soulful rock band—he’d sound like this fella.

One moment treating the Great American Songbook with honeyed tones, the next takin’ those ol’ records off the shelf and gettin’ downright funky with em’—Mark skitters across stages and comes to rest with a rarified vulnerability and charm. And with his B.A. in Theatre Arts and years of experience on the road as a soloist and frontman, Mark has stage presence to boot.

For the past 8 years, Mark reverently evoked 1940’s nostalgia and the war-time memories of the ‘Greatest Generation’ with the Glenn Miller Orchestra’s international contingent. As soloist and frontman, Mark witnessed the worldwide love of this timeless music with over 200 performances throughout Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Philippines, Mexico, etc.

Mark “the Kitten” Kopitzke is regularly set loose onto Disneyland stages with the West Coast’s hottest little big band, Phat Cat Swinger. He’s also sang with Larry Curtis’ star-studded Long Beach Municipal Band, the Tom Kubis Big Band, and Rock/Soul cover band DR.DR.

As a recording artist, Mark recently laid down tracks at Capitol Records with Phat Cat Swinger. His debut solo album, How To Wear A Bow Tie sold out half way through his last tour down under, and he is also featured on the Swing Kittens holiday album, Chasing Winter. MarkRK.com
